Hamburger:

|

teaspoons |
salt
|
|
|
| 1/2 |
teaspoon |
pepper
|
|
|
| 2 |
teaspoons |
Worcestershire sauce
|
|
|
| 1/2 |
cup |
ice water
|
|
|
|
|
Sauce:
|
|
|
| 1 |
can |
(8 oz.) tomato sauce
|
|
|
| 1/4 |
cup |
water
|
|
|
| 1 |
teaspoon |
Worcestershire sauce
|
|
|
| 1 |
tablespoon |
minced onion
|
|
|
| 2 |
tablespoons |
minced green pepper
|
|
|
| 2 |
tablespoons |
minced celery
|
|
|
Directions:
Hamburger:
Combine meat with salt and pepper. Mix Worcestershire with ice water and pour over meat. Blend thoroughly and shape into 8 patties. Broil or pan-fry hamburgers quickly to desired degree of doneness. Serve hot with sauce.
Sauce:
Combine all ingredients and simmer 10 minutes.
